- Exact model, size, and color code, written into the order.
- Leather type and lining material.
- Hardware finish (light gold, silver, or black) and plating quality.
- Dimensions and strap drop in centimeters, with a stated tolerance.
- Photos of the actual unit, not catalog shots.
- Return and exchange terms, in writing.
Common Pitfalls
"Mirror quality" and "1:1" get used loosely. Treat them as labels, not grades. Watch for sellers who post one sample and ship a cheaper tier, or who reuse another factory's photos. Blurry images, no measurements, and pressure to pay outside a tracked method are all reasons to walk. Check whether the interior stamping is embossed or printed, and whether the date code placement matches the model year.
One more thing worth knowing: importing counterfeit goods into the US is illegal, and Customs can seize and destroy a shipment. On personal orders that risk sits with the buyer. If a supplier promises guaranteed clearance, that promise is worth nothing.
