Materials and construction
Authentic LV clutches use coated canvas or leather. Monogram canvas is cotton with a PVC coating. It is not leather. Damier Ebene and Damier Azur use the same base. Leather models use Epi, Empreinte, or Taurillon. Hardware is brass or gold-tone metal with LV engraving. Stitching runs 8 to 10 stitches per inch and lines up with the printed pattern at the seams. Repair, resale, and proof of origin
